FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What counts as a run and as device time?
A run is one scenario played on one device from start to finish. Device time is the total number of minutes a device stays open during those runs. Both start over every month.
Can I change plans later?
Yes. You upgrade or downgrade from the plan page inside the app, and the cost of the change is shown before you confirm.
Do I need to modify my app or add an SDK?
No. TestSafe tests the app you build, exactly as it is. Nothing is added to it, and nothing TestSafe does ships to your users.
Which apps and games can I test?
Any Android app and any mobile game. In games, TestSafe does not guess from the screen. It reads the inside of the game, so it knows where each button is and which character is visible. The tool the game was built with does not change that.
How does it work with GitHub?
If you like, install the TestSafe GitHub App and pick your repositories. Every pull request is tested on its own and the result shows up on the pull request. You can also start a test with a comment, and new releases are tested automatically. Nothing in your current setup has to change.
Is my app kept private?
Yes. The app you upload is used only for your tests, runs in an isolated environment and is never shared. You can delete your app and your test results at any time.
How is this different from renting devices?
Device services give you phones. You still write the tests and fix them when they break. With TestSafe, AI agents do the testing. They use your app, find the bugs and report them with video. There is no test code for you to write or maintain.
How do I get started?
Open a free account, upload your app and write in one sentence what you want tested. The first result arrives in a few minutes. Connect GitHub, Jira or Slack later if you like. Or book a demo and we'll set it up together on your own app.
